Description
These Black Rhinos,which are very heavily poached for their horns,were on Imire Game Reserve,in Zimbabwe.Where I was able to see this group of Rhinos,as they were coming back to be enclosed for the night. I was crouching in the back of a pick-up truck to photograph them… hoping not to spook them,my Sister-in-law stayed in the cab!They are huge animals & weigh between 800 & 14oo kgs.They would easily knock over the vehicle,if they had wanted.
Black rhino have a slightly pointed top lip,and 2 horns, & dont see well. Two rhinoceros are killed every day.Which is devastating,they are critically endangered.
